What have you achieved from taking part in the Tech Ready Program?

I have achieved a remarkable amount in such a short time! I have managed to create a MVP that is viable and ready to develop. Before the program I had an idea of an app where youth could connect to a medical professional if they were having any mental health concerns or suicidal thoughts.

The journey the Tech Ready Program took me on helped me to create a framework around my business and show me how I could bring my idea to life.

What is the name of your product and what is the problem it is trying to solve?

I have created an online community for youth mental health sufferers named soyouknow.co SYK.

Did you have a start-up or your business prior to this? If so, what is it and how far along are you now?

I entered the program with an idea and concept and completely pivoted in the right direction with the help and support of Christie and her amazing group of mentor’s and guides.

What is your professional background? What have you been doing in your career leading up to this moment?

I am a Pastoral Coordinator in a school in Western Sydney. A lot of the conversations I have a daily basis start with “So you know Miss,” this is where the inspiration for the name and app came from.

Are you still in a full or part-time position, or are you working for yourself or stay-at-home?

I work full time, I’m working on my SYK – So You Know app and I’m also a mum!

Why did you choose to do the Tech Ready program?

I chose to do the Tech Ready Program because I wanted to bring my concept from an idea to an app and I had very little tech experience.

Why do you think the Tech Ready Program is so important and for who?

It is extremely important and valuable because it assists non-tech savvy founders and ensures it limits the possibility for them to waste time and money heading in the wrong direction.

What is the next part of your journey now TRP is done?
